About Stuart Norman
Stuart was born in 1960, childhood in Fife, with the great Will Maclean as his school art teacher. He swithered and declined Art College entry to study Dentistry.
Finally ‘came back’ to painting in 2011 on joining Smailholm Art Group now with Anthony Cawthorne’s guidance and tuition. He has exhibited at the Borders Art Fair, Smailholm village exhibitions and Allanbank Arts Open Exhibitions and Affordable Art Exhibitions. He was short listed in the RBS “views of Edinburgh” competition in 2016. In 2019 exhibited with the landlines group The Union gallery, Edinburgh, and at Gallery Natami Edinburgh festival exhibition.
Stuart paints the Borders landscape in acrylics, oils, and city scenes in watercolours. He has attended Leith School of Art where he has just completed a year long printing course.
He lives in Kelso with his wife.
